RPG, if you don’t know this abbreviation stands for “Role-Playing Games”. Not the kinky kind – although you also do need fantasy. You might have heard one of the terms “Pen&Paper”, “Dungeons&Dragons”, Fantasy RPG, Tabletop RPG,… they all basically refer to the same hobby (I know technically D&D is a specific RPG, but it became a recognizable brand and symbol for RPG, if you like D&D or not).
So what is RPG? I do not want to explain to you, what you either know, or can easily find definitions for and lengthy explanations everywhere in the world wide web (for the lazy bums go here). What RPG is for me and why it is important for me I explain in My view and history with RPGs.
I am member and treasurer of the Celtic Circle e.V. since 2001 and I was a founding and long time member of the Troll e.V.. Both clubs are also part of a bigger collaboration “Phantastisch Spielen” (no singular website), who is hosting together with a lot of other RPG clubs a booth at the Spielemesse Stuttgart for over 20 years now.
